village is village....city is city in the context of development. In India very hottest topic for debate is " village is village....city is city". I request you all people think it in Indian context. India is a country where approximately 70% people live in India and mostly depend upon agriculture, because of urbanization people migrate rural to urban and because of Government policy SEZ's play crucial role for industrialization in SEZ's (rural areas). In this context villages is suppose to be urbanize but another side Indian Government have lot of policies like MGNAREGA, NRLM, SGRY etc., which directly stop migration (urban to rural). These policies are for skill enhance, rural development, lot of investment in micro finance and development of rural entrepreneurship. This shows that government try to stop migration as well as development of villages in its own way on the basis of its culture, tradition, the way of living. The main target is develop villages not convert it into urban.
