Water.org is a non-profit organization that has transformed hundreds of communities in Africa, South Asia, and Central America by providing access to safe water and sanitation over the past twenty-one years. Founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org works with local partners to deliver innovative solutions for improving long-term access to safe water.
This month, Water.org launched WaterCredit.org - a site meant to educate diverse stakeholders on the increasing linkages between microfinance and the need for water and sanitation, especially in the developing world. WaterCredit.org intends to engage and provide resources for a wide range of audiences to become involved in the movement to provide access to safe water through credit and other financial services.
Water.org invites all interested audiences to participate and learn how microfinance can benefit individuals to access safe water and sanitation by visiting WaterCredit.org and getting involved.
