About Me
Mr. Odjobi Kwakye has had over six years’ practical work experience in project planning and management, project implementation, project monitoring and evaluation at both district and grassroots level. His core expertise includes microfinance, entrepreneurship, micro and small enterprises development, training and facilitation, community and rural development as well as marketing.
Mr Kwakye is also, the Business Development Manager at the Organization for Livelihood Enhancement Services (OLIVES). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with specialization in industrial arts from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana as well as a certificate in needs assessment techniques for small and medium scale enterprises from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He is currently a student of the Tokyo Development Learning Centre studying microfinance.
He has worked with Hunger Project – Ghana as project officer, National Board for Small Scale Industries as small business advisor and entrepreneurial skills training officer, and the Rural Enterprises Project as business development officer.
He has much experience working in partnership with rural communities, civil society groups, community-based organizations, local government entities, NGO’s and donors in reducing poverty through the provision of socio-economic infrastructure, access to micro credit and capacity building.
He is International Finance Cooperation’s trained and certified local consultant to the Newmont Gold Ghana Limited Ahafo Linkages Project where he provided business development services to small businesses.
Kwakye has developed and facilitated training in various subject areas, including advocacy, networking, business planning, financial planning and management, conflict management, records keeping, marketing, costing and pricing, group dynamics and credit management. Others are customer service and team building, start your business and training needs assessment for micro and small businesses.
