Group-based lending is a growing trend in microfinance in the developing countries. It si important for Researchers and Practitioners to probe into the weakness associated in group-based lending particularly the weakness in solidarity guarantee concept as a substitute for collaterizing group loans. One major weakness is when there in wide variation for loan sizes among the individual members of a group.
